Alvarez 12 String Acoustic Guitar, life-size in acrylic. I think this measures about 36x40. It's the biggest painting I have ever attempted. It's supposed to be a 12-string, but it turned out to be more like a 5 string. I painted the strings by dipping a piece of yarn in white paint and dragging it across the canvas. I think the effect is nice, but I couldn't fit all 12 strings. I just hung this at the Chapel Hill Art Gallery, so it will live there until it sells (hopefully!) or until everyone gets sick of looking at it...then I guess I'll bring it back home.
