Last Friday Art Walk

Since the Chapel Hill Art Gallery has officially closed, we have re-booted and are now Triangle Visual Artists. We'll be doing pop-up events and whatever. Our very first event as TVA was at the Last Friday Art Walk in Hillsborough. Hillsborough's Art Walk is HUGE. It's more of a street fair with lots of vendors and music, in addition to receptions at the local galleries. We had 2 spots on the street and set up portable walls to display our stuff. It was a reasonable successful event. I managed to sell 2 of my mini paintings. So, I at least covered the cost of gas. If I were to do this sort of thing again, I would concentrate on the smaller works, rustic subjects painted on recycled wood. Maybe...I don't know for sure. I don't plan on doing ANYTHING outdoors until fall, though. I hate to sweat.
